Julie S. Roberts
Throughout her business career, Ms. Roberts has always managed to find time to pursue her passion for painting. Her studies in oil and acrylic painting have included those with Rob Vander Zee of The Vander Zee School of Art in Old Town Alexandria, VA, with Hugh O’Neil of the Lighthouse Art Center in Jupiter, Florida, with Ann Lawtey from Easel Art Center in West Palm Beach, Florida, various workshops and significant independent study.
Julie has participated in many juried shows and exhibits in the Washington D.C. as well as Palm Beach areas.
In November 2014, Ms. Roberts was awarded 1st place for Oil or Acrylic Painting for the “Best of the Clubs” show at The Lighthouse Art Center, Jupiter, Florida. In January 2014, Julie was selected to represent Northwood Art District in Art Palm Beach, an International Contemporary Art show held in the Palm Beach Convention Center and showing over 80 international galleries. The “Synergy” exhibit represented six satellite art districts from Palm Beach in the show, including Northwood, Worth Avenue, Boynton Beach and Lake Worth. A total of six two-dimensional and six three-dimensional artists were selected for the six districts. In the spring of 2012, Ms. Roberts placed 3rd out of 170 entries in the “Celebrate the Arts” show at The Lighthouse Art Center, Jupiter, Florida. Her work has found its way into private collections throughout the US.

Ms. Roberts earned a degree in Economics and Management from the University of Iowa and an MBA from the George Washington University. She spent many years as a Financial Executive at both Marriott and USAirways, and is now Founder and President of a Financial Consulting Firm and serves on three Boards. Julie has done strategic and financial consulting for a number of art galleries, combining her business experience and passion for art.
